Matrox ConvertIP Series
Matrox ConvertIP is a series of ST 2110 /IPMX baseband converters andencoders/decoders. ConvertIP convertsSMPTE 2110 and IPMX IP signals to and fromHDMI, HDBaseT, or SDI, and can beconfigured to support uncompressed andcompressed AV over IP signals. Built fordiverse applications, each ConvertIP devicecan be configured as either a transmitter orreceiver that can display, monitor, andtransmit 4K signals over 1G to 25G networkswith zero latency. The IP converters supportcopper and fiber networks, as well asmultiple codecs – such as ProAV and JPEG-XS – for visually lossless compressed anduncompressed video transmission. Vion providesflexible, low-latency multi-channel encoding,decoding, transcoding, and cross-conversionof IP video formats and codecs like H.264,HEVC, JPEG XS and NDI. This IP videogateway supports the IPMX suite of openstandards and specifications, and protocolslike SMPTE ST 2110-22, SRT, RTSP, RTP, andMPEG-2 TS for flexible routing workflows,such as transcoding an NDI source fordelivery over the web using SRT. Withsupport for 4:2:2 10-bit and 4:4:4 10-bitcodecs and optional HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDIinputs, Vion can maintain both desktop andbroadcast video content details, managecolor space conversions, streaming protocolsand bitrates, and transmit multipleconcurrent streams—making it ideal for liveproduction, collaboration, and local/cloud IPworkflows.
